Happy New Year from DIVA!
January is a great time for acessing your goals for the year and making
fresh starts. I am sure that working with galleries is high on the
list for many of you, so why not join us for our January Salon. Dena Brown
(Director for the Airport Gallery and Maude Kerns) will be with us sharing on
the "dos and do NOTs" of approaching galleries. She is equipt with a slide
show and years of experience.
Dena will talk about the initial introduction to a gallery, proper
submissions, how and when to follow up, some insider info on what
gallerries DO NOT want to deal with, and more. This salon is an excellent
opportunity for new and verteran artists to hone their skills and gain new ones.
Bring something tasty to share and remember we will select the Members'
Gallery exhibit for July. Current DIVA members may bring one or two
examples of their artwork for consideration for this exhibit. DIVA's other
galleries in July 2008 will be featuring a special Olympic Trials exhibit, "The Notion of Motion," so we encourage you to
propose an exhibit that will fit with the larger exhibit.
