Professional Firms Visiting Day!!!
Below is the list of firms that will be attending the Professional
Firms
Visiting Day along with the websites for you to check them out. There
are now 37 Architecture firms and 2 Landscape firms who will be
attending for a total of approximately 39 firms. So let's not
disappoint them.
If you would still like to volunteer to help, please come to the
organizational meeting at noon on Monday, Feb 25th in LA 278.
Some of you have asked about how you should go about signing up for
interviews, so here is further information on the protocol for the
event
which will be on Wednesday, February 27th from 9-4 in 206, 278, & 279.
A little over half will be conducting more formal
interviews in the afternoon beginning around 1 pm in rooms, 141, 383,
and 405, with possible spill over to 249. Firms have been
instructed to have sign-up sheets at their tables in the morning. They
will have their interview room assigned by the morning of the fair and
you should know which room when you sign up. If they do not mention
it,
ask.
Those firms not signed up for a room will often conduct informal
interviews at their tables. Some will make notes and take resumes from
students that they have become interested in recruiting at a later date
as a result of the conversations they have had with a student at their
fair tables.
What this all means is that you should be sure to attend in the morning
and engage in conversation with the various firms, particularly those
you know you are interested in. Students should have prepared resumes
and portfolios if they are looking to be hired. The exchange that
occurs with firms in the morning allows you to evaluate if you would
like to sign up for an interview with a particular firm, and vice
versa.
